011 - QUIZ TAHM! 3rd Wave - The Rebus! - Round Three
Hello quiz players and welcome to a fantastical adventure into fantasy and adventure! First let us begin by revealing the answers to last week's Monday Filmsquish Quiz Tahm Quiz for Quizzical Quizzers™:
Many of you may have overthought this one:
+ - B
The Answer is not Guitar Jack Black - B, which spells Kajak Cut Garlic ... though I'm pretty sure that's not a movie title...
The Answer is Bass + Jack - B = assjack
Jackass, which though technically is a film, is certainly not up there in the Cannes zone. Still, there's nothing like watching a guy light a firecracker rocket while it's tied to his dingle to get your 'My God, that's stupid' fix.
The second rebus of the day, I thought was very simple:
The Answer: Godzilla + Bra - God - A L = zilbra
Brazil, on the other hand is a well known film favourite and is more than often called director Terry Gillam's best work.
Good job, winners.
I think I'll make it hard this week, hopefully shuffling around those in the lead with those just trailing behind. First, for a single point:
The second rebus for the second point this week, straight up:
You know what? To get you in the mood for next week's easier People's Proper Names Rebuses, I'll throw in a bonus question here. The rebus below spells out a film star's first and last name. Can you guess who it is for one point?
[ + uas] +
- ts + afb]
The rules are simple: look at the above clues. What I want from you is the title of each film represented in the two first rebuses... rebii? Hovering your mouse over the picture may or may not reveal a worthy clue. The words, if not each letter, will most likely need some shuffling.
For a bonus point, guess which film star is represented in the third clue.
Good Luck! Name those movies!
Quiz day is Monday! You have until the answer is posted the following week to submit your guess. This is the Third round of FOUR. The winner will be the individual who answers the most quizzes correctly. Simply put, the highest score wins! Winners will receive their choice of a free movie from my own personal collection!
